THE HOMEOWNER FIELD GUIDE

How we choose listings

A transparent shortlist, built from public company websites.

What qualifies a company

For this edition, a company website must describe crawl space encapsulation and identify a covered North Carolina city through a service area, local page or documented project. We read the underlying pages rather than relying only on a search snippet.

What we checked

The launch dataset contains 22 distinct companies and 65 company–city listings across 12 cities. Sources were checked on October 24, 2026. Each listing links to the page used for local coverage. Service labels summarize services described by that company’s website.

What we have not checked

We have not independently verified workmanship, insurance, licenses, response times, prices or customer satisfaction. Published coverage may change. Confirm the exact address and scope directly with each provider. A listing is not an endorsement.

How listings are ordered

Companies appear alphabetically within each city. There are no paid placements or sponsored rankings in this edition. Regional companies may appear in more than one city, but are counted once in the statewide company total.

Limits of the shortlist

This is an initial North Carolina edition, not a complete census. Companies without accessible service information may be missing. A company with more pages on its website may be easier to document; inclusion does not mean it is better than an unlisted business.
