GET THE SCOPE RIGHT

Before you request a quote.

This shortlist focuses on backyard koi ponds, water gardens and decorative water features. Stormwater-only maintenance, dredging and swimming-pool cleaning are different jobs and are not substitutes for a garden-pond cleanout.

  1. Describe the pond before booking

Send dimensions, depth, photos, fish details and the pump/filter model. Say whether you want a one-time cleanout, a neglected-pond assessment or ongoing care.

  2. Agree how fish and equipment are handled

Ask whether fish holding, water preparation, filter cleaning, debris removal and restart checks are included. Do not assume every maintenance visit includes draining the pond.

  3. Separate cleaning from repair

An exploratory cleanout may uncover liner, pump or plumbing defects. Ask for a separate approval point before repair costs are added, and confirm whether the company services ponds it did not build.

Compare the same work.
