GET THE SCOPE RIGHT
Built-in central vacuum systems, not just portable upright, canister or robot vacuums. Shop-based component repair and home-system diagnosis are different services.
Note whether the problem affects one inlet or the whole system and whether it appears with a particular hose or attachment. Share the power-unit label and photos if available.
Ask whether to bring a removable component to a shop or book an in-home diagnosis. Confirm that the technician handles built-in piping and inlets if those may be involved.
Request the diagnostic charge, parts availability and a written repair scope. If replacement is proposed, ask what existing pipes, inlets, hose and accessories can remain.
